Sean Conway serves as Associate Counsel to Senator Ted Cruz on the Senate Judiciary Committee. In this role, he prepares materials for subcommittee hearings, contributes to the drafting and review of legislative proposals, evaluates judicial and executive branch nominees, and oversees the development and strategic direction of amicus briefs. He will be leaving Washington, D.C., to clerk on a federal district court and a federal court of appeals.
Born and raised in Chicago, Sean graduated from the University of Chicago Law School. Before earning his J.D., he taught high school history in Armenia, Colombia, and studied Mandarin in Wuhan, China. He earned his B.A. in Economics and History, with a minor in Classics, from Northwestern University, where he focused on economic development, political economy, and the Industrial Revolution.
