Hillsdale in D.C. Hosts Annual Independence Day Alumni Party

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Hillsdale in D.C. hosted alumni, students, and friends to kick off America’s 250th anniversary at its annual Independence Day party. Over 250 guests attended. This year, the party was hosted on the rooftop of the Hall of the States building located just off Capitol Hill.

Dr. Spalding, Vice President for Washington Operations and Dean of the Van Andel Graduate School of Government, delivered remarks about the ongoing renovations at Hillsdale’s Washington, D.C. Campus. He noted that it is a great coincidence that the campus construction will be completed in the same year the country celebrates its 250th anniversary.

“The construction designs radiate Hillsdale College’s noble mission in America’s capital city and throughout the nation,” Dr. Spalding said. “I am sure that you will agree, our renovated and expanded D.C. campus is yet another fulfillment of our mission to ‘best develop the minds and improve the hearts of our pupils.’” He concluded with a toast, “To America!”
