Friends, students, staff, and alumni joined together for Hillsdale in D.C.'s annual Independence Day Celebration! We had a wonderful event at the Hall of the States rooftop with beautiful scenery, great weather, and delicious food!

This event is one of our biggest alumni events to celebrate our nations birthday. Our Assistant Dean and Professor Dr. Matthew Mehan gave the toast to commemorate 248 years of freedom since our nation’s founding.

Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us!

And check out Hillsdale’s original short film: Last Days of a Revolutionary

About Hillsdale in D.C.

Hillsdale in D.C. is an extension of the teaching mission of Hillsdale College to Washington, D.C. Its purpose is to teach the Constitution and the principles that give it meaning. Through the study of original source documents from American history—and of older books that formed the education of America’s founders—it seeks to inspire students, teachers, citizens, and policymakers to return the America’s principles to their central place in the political life of the nation.
