Hillsdale College Named Among Nation’s Best by The Princeton Review

HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Princeton Review again named Hillsdale College among the top 391 institutions of higher education in the country and 151 in the Midwest. The 2026 rankings are based upon a survey of 170,000 students. Hillsdale College also ranked in the top ten in nine subcategories and the top 20 in 12 subcategories related to academics and student life.

“At Hillsdale College, we seek to foster a lively and rigorous academic culture that develops the minds and improves the hearts of our students,” said Hillsdale College Provost Christopher VanOrman. “The excellence and happiness that mark our campus are a natural product of this culture. We are always grateful when others recognize it.”

Most notably, Hillsdale College ranked second in the nation for “Most Religious Students” and “Most Engaged in Community Service,” third for “Their Students Love These Colleges,” fifth for “Happiest Students,” and sixth for “Friendliest Students.”
