Student Spotlight | Angela Swinson, Graduate School of Government

Meet Angela Swinson, the Senior Government Relations Coordinator at the Conservative Partnership Institute.

Angela shares her experience at Hillsdale’s Van Andel Graduate School of Government: “When I first started the Hillsdale in D.C. program, I felt like I was in unfamiliar territory. I had a very basic understanding of philosophy and had not read much of the classic works of the major Western philosophers. I knew the facts of the Founding, but I never fully grasped what made it unique or why it made America so exceptional.

With the help and encouragement of my professors, as I immersed myself in the coursework and discussions, I began to gain a deeper understanding of the material and of the principles that have shaped our nation’s history. The program not only expanded my knowledge of philosophy and political history but also challenged me to grow in my faith and to improve my ability to defend what I believe.”

We’re so grateful to have students like Angela a part of our Graduate Program.
