A Conversation with Senator Tom Cotton

Hillsdale in D.C. partnered with the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation to host Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) for a discussion on his recent book, Seven Things You Can’t Say About China, at the VOC museum.

Dr. Matthew Spalding, Dean of the Van Andel Graduate School of Government and Vice President for Hillsdale’s Washington Operations, introduced Senator Cotton. Dr. Elizabeth Spalding, Senior Fellow at Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy and Chairman of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, led the discussion with him.

The Senator explained that much of American society—the media, academia, politicians, and more—will not speak out against communist China and its plans to destroy America. He laid out a plan and led a thoughtful discussion for how to deter China for the audience.
