Ronald Pestritto

Position: Senior Faculty Fellow, Graduate School of Government

Ronald Pestritto is dean of the Van Andel Graduate School of Statesmanship and professor of politics at Hillsdale College. He holds the Charles and Lucia Shipley Chair in the American Constitution. Pestritto is the author of several books, including American Progressivism, Woodrow Wilson and the Roots of Modern Liberalism, and Modern America and the Legacy of the Founding. He has written extensively on progressivism and the administrative state in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and the Claremont Review of Books.

Pestritto received a B.A. in Government from Claremont McKenna College. He has an M.A. in politics and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University’s School of Politics and Economics.
