Cassidy Syftestad

Undergraduate Program Coordinator

Cassidy Syftestad graduated from Hillsdale College in 2018 with a degree in American Studies. She joined the Kirby Center in June 2018, where she manages the Washington-based undergraduate programs. While in college, she co-authored a book, The Corrupt Classroom, with her mother, Christie Syftestad, and Lance Izumi, Koret Senior Fellow in Education Studies at the Pacific Research Institute. She also interned with the Center for Education Policy at The Heritage Foundation and freelanced for School Reform News. Cassidy hails from Roseville, California. She loves Washington, D.C.’s neoclassical architecture and pines for her beloved Sierra Nevada mountains.
